How egg freezing usually works
Hormonal stimulation grows several follicles; eggs are collected under sedation; mature eggs are frozen (vitrified) and stored. Later, if you choose, eggs can be thawed, fertilised (often with ICSI), and transferred as embryos. Success depends heavily on age at freezing and how many eggs are stored — not on optimism alone.
