In fertility treatment the laboratory and the clinic are not separate departments. The embryologist's assessment of how embryos are developing shapes what the clinician recommends, and the clinician's knowledge of your history shapes what the laboratory is asked to do.
Practically, this means your updates come to you through your treating doctor rather than in fragments, and that the person explaining your options has the laboratory's findings in front of them.
